Authorized reads
With the owner’s authorization, Hermes Mail reads Gmail and other configured sources. The source mail flow is designed to remain read-only.
Owner-operated · private by design
Hermes Mail is a private, AI-assisted mail system for one owner. It reads authorized mail sources in read-only mode, helps classify and translate important messages, and routes selected results to the places the owner has chosen.
This site describes a personal system in rollout and configuration. It is not a public signup or hosted mailbox service.
What it does
With the owner’s authorization, Hermes Mail reads Gmail and other configured sources. The source mail flow is designed to remain read-only.
AI-assisted classification and translation can identify important messages, including language and one-time-code signals, under local controls.
Selected mail can be copied to Outlook and summaries or errors can be sent to a private owner-controlled Discord channel.
Boundaries
Hermes Mail does not present itself as an end-to-end encrypted mailbox, and local tokens, databases, and raw message files are not encrypted at rest by the system. Local permissions are used to restrict access. Mail content is treated as untrusted data; AI output is constrained before it can influence processing.
Copies sent to Outlook or Discord become subject to those services’ separate accounts, security, retention, and privacy practices. Read the privacy notice for the full data-flow description.
